그동안 저희 교회에서 부교역자로, 초등부 담당 목회자로 섬겨주셨던 김세헌 전도사님과 하기쁨 전도사님께서 사임을 하시게 되었습니다. 

   하기쁨 전도사님은 2019년 12월부터 저희 교회 초등부에서 사역을 해 오셨습니다.  사역 초기 시작된  펜더믹 상황에서 본인의 전공과 은사를 십분 사용하여 아이들이 온라인으로 예배를 드릴 수 있도록 해주셨고, 여름성경학교도 진행해 주셨습니다. 또한 본인의 부서뿐만 아니라 교회의 많은 영상 작업과 편집에도 도움을 주셔서 어려운 기간 동안 예배와 집회가 이어질 수 있게 섬겨주셨었습니다. 청소년과 영어회중의 예배시간이 옮겨짐에 따라 주일학교 봉사자들이 줄어 어려움이 많은 지금의 상황에서도 최선을 다해 아이들과 예배를 드리며 사역을 이어와 주셨습니다.

  하기쁨 전도사님은  2021년 5월에 김세헌 전도사님과 결혼을 하셨고, 이후 2022년 7월에 남편 되신 김세헌 전도사님께서 저희 교회로 부임해오셨습니다.  그 당시에는 청소년 전도사님이 안 계셨기 때문에 청소년 부서를 시작으로 사역을 하셨고, 하나님께서 주신 귀한 은사로 찬양팀을 인도하며 섬겨주셨으며,  부교역자로서 교회의 행정을 담당하여 주시면서 저를 도와 성도님들과 교회의 필요를 채워주셨습니다. 이렇게 열심히 교회 사역을 해주셨으니 두 분은 저희 교회에 고맙고 감사한 분이십니다. 

  이런 두 분께서 저희 교회를 떠나시는 것은 저희에게는 아쉬움과 안타까움이 크지만, 기도하시면서 결정하신 만큼 저희는 두 분을 축복하며 보내드리려고 합니다. 두 분 모두 젊고 가능성이 많은 목회자이십니다. 하나님께서 앞으로 두 분을 더욱 귀하게 단련하시고 하나님 나라를 위해 더 크게 사용해 주시리라 믿습니다. 

 두 분은, 5월 말로 사역을 마무리하기로 하셨기에 마지막 주일이 되는 5/28일 주일 예배 시간에 온 성도가 함께 두 분을 축복하는 기도를 하나님께 드리고 인사 나누는 시간을 가지려고 합니다. 남아있는 기간 동안에 서로 감사했던 마음을 나누고, 두 분을 축복해 드리면서 아름다운 유종의 미를 거둘 수 있기를 바랍니다. 

Pastor Jonathan and pastor Kara are resigning.

Pastor Jonathan and pastor Kara who have been serving as associate pastor and childrens’ ministry pastor are stepping down from serving our church.

Pastor Kara has been serving the elementary department of our church since December of 2019.  During the beginning of the pandemic she has been able to use her training and talent in the ministry to have the worship go online, and she also conducted the Vacation Bible School each year.  Also, not only in her own department but also for the whole church, she has done a lot of video editing and production work and helped us continue worship during difficult times.  There had been a significant decrease in volunteers as the Youth and English congregation changed their worship time and even now in the midst of difficulties they did their best to continue serving in the childrens’ ministry.   

Pastor Kara married pastor Jonathan in May of 2021 and later in July of 2022 pastor Jonathan came to serve at our church.  At that time we had no youth pastor so he started serving in the youth department, and then served the praise team with his precious God-given gift, and was in charge of the church administration as an assistant pastor, helping me and our members fulfill the needs of our church.  For they have served our church so diligently, we are as a church certainly grateful to these two people.

It is lamentable for us that these two people are leaving our church but with the understanding that they have made their decision with much prayer, we want to send them off with a blessing.  Both of them are young and promising pastors.  I believe that God will further train the two so that they may be used even more preciously for the Kingdom of God.

Since the two of them decided to finish their ministry at the end of May, on May 28th, which is the last Sunday, during the Sunday worship service, we will ask all the members to pray together to bless the two of them and have a time of exchange greetings.  During the remaining period I hope that we will be able to share in the gratitude for one another and to part ways in a beautiful way.
