처음 태어나면 출생신고와 함께 주민등록이 필요하듯이 교회의 성도에게도 신앙 교적부가 필요합니다. 교적부라고 하면 단순하게 교회에 개인의 정보를 제공하는 것 정도로 알고 계시는 분들이 많으신데, 교적부는, 성도님 개개인의 신앙의 자취를 기록하고 보관할 수 있는 소중한 자료입니다. 교회 등록에서 시작하여 예수 영접, 침례, 회원 영입, 삶 공부 수강 등으로 이어지는 개인의 신앙의 여정을 기록하는 것은, 성도로서의 성장의 과정을 보여주는것 뿐만아니라 교회에 대한 소속감과 책임감을 갖게 하는데도 도움을 줍니다.

    또한, 교적부에 등록하는 것은 내가 이 믿음의 공동체에 소속되어 신앙인으로서 믿음을 키워나가겠다는 의지와 결단의 표현이기도 합니다. 펜데믹 이후로 어느 믿음의 공동체에도 속하지 않고 나 혼자 편하게 신앙생활을 하기를 원하는 소위 “가나안" 성도들이 늘고 있습니다.(거꾸로 읽어 교회에 “안 나가”는 성도인 것이지요) 예수님의 제자 양육 방법은 나 홀로서기가 아니라 언제나 공동체를 통해서였습니다. 우리 미라클랜드 침례교회는, 성도님들이 공동체의 친밀한 소속감과  교회의 일원으로서의 책임감을 가지고 함께 교제하며 진정한 코이노니아를 누리는 믿음의 공동체로 세워져 나가기를 소원합니다.

   교인의 신앙의 자취가 잘 기록되고 보관될 때, 교회가 성도들의 신앙 성장을 함께 돕고 키워갈 수 있으며, 사진을 첨부하는 이유는 제가 성도님들의 기도 제목을 가지고 기도할 때, 사진을 보고 기도함으로 기도의 제목과 이름, 그리고 얼굴을 매칭하여 기도의 내용을 더 잘 기억하고 기도 제목의 혼선을 줄이는 등의 도움을 얻을 수 있기 때문입니다. 360이라는 교인 관리 정보 시스템을 통해서 개인의 정보에 대한 보안은 잘 유지, 관리되니  혹시라도 개인의 정보가 노출될까 우려하시는 분들은 안심하셔도 될 것입니다.

    앞으로 주일 친교 시간을 통해 김세헌 전도사님이 목장 별로 개인 사진을 찍고 360 교적부를 업데이트할 계획입니다.  예쁘게 단장하고 오셔서 사진도 잘 찍어주시고, 정보를 업데이트 하는 것 등에 적극적으로 참여해주셔서 우리 공동체 모든 성도의 좋은 기록과 역사로 교적부가 사용되도록 협조해 주시기 바랍니다.

We are Updating the Church Register

     Just as upon birth we need to register the newborn for identification, the member of the church also needs to be in the church register.  One may think of it as merely to provide personal information to the church but the church register is a valuable resource that archives and traces the record of each member’s faith.  Starting with the registration into the church, reception of Jesus, baptism, membership, and the enrollment into each of the life courses and further on, it records the individual journey of faith, as well as to chronicle the process of growth of the believer, on top of assisting in providing a sense of belonging and responsibility to the church.

     Also, registering in the church register is an expression of my will and determination to belong to this community of faith as I grow in my faith as a believer.  Since the pandemic, there has been an increase of the so-called “Canaanite” church-goers who do not belong to any faith community but wish to live out a life of faith on their own without accountability to others.  [in Korean, the reverse of ‘Canaan’ is pronounced an-nagah which means “won’t go out” (to church)].  Jesus’ discipleship method was not “me standing alone” but always through community.

     As Miracleland Baptist Church we wish to be established as a community of faith where members can fellowship together with a sense of closeness, belonging, and community in order to enjoy true koinonia.  When the traces of a member’s faith is well archived, the church can help and grow together in faith and the reason why we include a photo of the members into the records, is because when I pray with the topics of each member, I pray while looking at the photos of the member’s faces.  By connecting the prayer title, the name of the member and his or her face, I can better remember and eliminate any confusion about who requested the prayer.

     Through the membership management information system called 360, the personal information is securely managed, so that you can rest assured that your information will not be exposed.  In the near future, during Sunday fellowship time, Pastor Saehon Kim is planning to take photos of each person from each house church and to update the 360 church register. Please come dressed up nicely, take a good photo, and actively participate in the update of information, so that every member of our community can benefit from the church registry as a reliable record of church history in the years to come
