1 이레의 첫날 이른 새벽에, 여자들은 준비한 향료를 가지고 무덤으로 갔다.
2 그들은 무덤 어귀를 막은 돌이 무덤에서 굴려져 나간 것을 보았다.
3 그들이 안으로 들어가 보니, 주 예수의 시신이 없었다.
4 그래서 그들이 이 일을 어떻게 해야 할지를 몰라서 당황하고 있는데, 눈부신 옷을 입은 두 남자가 갑자기 그들 앞에 나섰다.
5 여자들은 두려워서 얼굴을 아래로 숙이고 있는데, 그 남자들이 그들에게 말하였다. "어찌하여 너희들은 살아 계신 분을 죽은 사람들 가운데서 찾고 있느냐?
6 그분은 여기에 계시지 않고, 살아나셨다. 갈릴리에 계실 때에, 너희들에게 하신 말씀을 기억해 보아라.
7 '인자는 반드시 죄인의 손에 넘어가서, 십자가에 처형되고, 사흘째 되는 날에 살아나야 한다'고 하셨다."
8 여자들은 예수의 말씀을 회상하였다.
9 그들은 무덤에서 돌아와서, 열한 제자와 그 밖의 모든 사람에게 이 모든 일을 알렸다.
10 이 여자들은 막달라 마리아와 요안나와 야고보의 어머니인 마리아이다. 이 여자들과 함께 있던 다른 여자들도, 이 일을 사도들에게 말하였다.
11 그러나 사도들에게는 이 말이 어처구니없는 말로 들렸으므로, 그들은 여자들의 말을 믿지 않았다.
12 그러나 베드로는 일어나서 무덤으로 달려가, 몸을 굽혀서 들여다보았다. 거기에는 시신을 감았던 삼베만 놓여 있었다. 그는 일어난 일을 이상히 여기면서 집으로 돌아갔다.

1 On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb.
2 They found the stone rolled away from the tomb,
3 but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.
4 While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them.
5 In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, "Why do you look for the living among the dead?
6 He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee:
7 'The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.' "
8 Then they remembered his words.
9 ○When they came back from the tomb, they told all these things to the Eleven and to all the others.
10 It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the others with them who told this to the apostles.
11 But they did not believe the women, because their words seemed to them like nonsense.
12 Peter, however, got up and ran to the tomb. Bending over, he saw the strips of linen lying by themselves, and he went away, wondering to himself what had happened.
